Inaugural & First Annual Walk-A-Thon

Edo Heritage Foundation of Michigan, a social-cultural organization had her inaugural and First Annual Walk-A-Thon in September 18, 2010 at the City of Oak Park. “This was an annual event, being inaugurated to promote good health practices in our community here in Michigan. Engr. Mrs. Bose Ogbeifun, the first female president of Edo Heritage. Several health companies participated. The Gift of Life headed by Mrs. Merge Delgreco used the opportunity to educate the community on organ donations. The Walk-A-Thon was programmed for 2 to 5 kilometers walk depending on individual ability. Nurses among Edo Heritage members performed basic blood pressure checks; medical health industries distributed their information. This unique event had great number of turn out.

Edo Heritage Foundation of Michigan is a Non-For-Profit organization, established in 1992 to promote various community programs among her members.

Other Events

In december 2004, we had a project in Nigeria were the EHF of Michigan had to renovate the matarnity ward of general hospital in Benin City, Nigeria. The newspaper called The Nigerian Observer covered the write up title Edo Govt-owned hospitals get boost. To read the article, please click here.
